Brian Smith is a speaker on local food issues, starting a farm and marketing farms. Clients have included National Council of Agricultural Finance Programs, The Nature Conservancy, chapters of The Sierra Club and Slow Food groups.
Inspired by his passions for food, ecological issues and community improvement, Brian and his family moved from their urban home to a 77-acre farm outside of Omaha, Nebraska. There, they focus on a three-part mission: Good Food, Good Community, Good Earth. They raise chemical-free heirloom food for a Community Supported Agriculture group, restaurants and community programs.
Brian and his farm, Black Sheep Farms, have been profiled in newspapers, magazines and television articles. He has years of speaking experience, writes for publications and has extensive experience in marketing and media.
