CSA

Registration for our 2012 CSA is closed. We recommend searching Local Harvest for other CSA programs. If you’re interested in the opportunity for 2013, sign up below.

At Black Sheep Farms, we have designed our Community Supported Agriculture program with three concepts in mind: Good Food, Good Community and Good Earth. We grow heirloom flowers, fruits and vegetables with methods that build fertility and support the integrity of our land. Our CSA philosophy includes a connection between you, your food and your farmers.

Here’s how it works:

Black Sheep Farms grows heirloom, chemical-free produce to provide CSA members fresh food each week during a 20-week season. In exchange, each member pays a fee and volunteers 10 hours of labor on the farm. When you have the opportunity to contribute to your CSA, you feel a deeper connection to your food and the land. This gives you the opportunity to experience the farm throughout the season, meet other people and develop a sense of ownership.

We are honored that people choose us to be their personal farm, and we work very hard to provide a great experience. As part of the community aspect, we all share the risks and rewards of food production, including crop failures. It’s a part of life when you eat locally produced food.

Each year, we have a lottery for CSA shares. If you’re interested in the opportunity, sign up below. There is no obligation now. We will contact you in January with details and draw for membership on or before February 1st. Thanks for considering Black Sheep Farms!
